What is a Video & Links Carousel (media slider block)?

Every Video & Links Carousel on CreatorStore follows the same 3-step flow: add slides (upload images or paste any URL from YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, TikTok, or Loom), pick a display mode per slide (Player or Thumbnail), publish. The block auto-detects each video source and renders the right player — no embed code to hunt down, no aspect-ratio math.

What you don't have to build: swipe gestures for mobile, click-to-play on desktop, optional autoplay per slide, and a CTA link below the slider are all included. Adding a Reel from Instagram or a Short from YouTube auto-scales to portrait; a landscape Vimeo clip auto-scales to widescreen. No CDN to configure, no video-host account juggling, no watermark.

Is Media Slider really free?

Yes — Media Slider is free forever. No watermark, no item cap, no "Powered by" footer, no upsell tricks. Add unlimited photos, videos, Reels, TikToks, links — pay nothing. We charge only for paid blocks (digital products, bookings, webinars) — see pricing if you want to monetize too.

Which video sources are supported?

Out of the box: YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram (Reels, posts), Loom, Wistia, and direct MP4 files (host them on AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, or any CDN). Paste any URL from these platforms — we detect the source and render the correct player or thumbnail. No embed codes, no scripts to add manually.

Player vs Thumbnail — which should I use?

Both have trade-offs. Player plays inline in the carousel (heavier: loads YouTube/Vimeo player scripts, but better engagement). Thumbnail shows a 4:5 image, opens the link in a new tab on click (lighter, mobile-friendly, faster page load). General rule: Player for YouTube/Vimeo long-form content where viewers will watch on your page. Thumbnail for Reels, TikToks, Shorts where viewers will jump to the platform anyway. Toggle per item — mix freely in one carousel.

Will autoplay annoy my visitors?

Autoplay is off by default. If you turn it on, items auto-advance every 5 seconds, but the carousel pauses when a visitor hovers OR taps a dot. So if they're reading, it waits. Best for static content (button grids, callouts) — less ideal for video Player mode (you don't want videos auto-playing audio). For Reels/TikTok thumbnails, autoplay works great as ambient motion.

How does the CTA link below the carousel work?

Optional small link under the block — e.g. "Get started →" or "Buy my course →". Set the link text (auto-arrow appended) and pick the destination: a product in your CreatorStore (course, webinar, bundle) OR an external URL. Subtle conversion path from "I'm browsing your videos" to "I clicked the course link."

Is the carousel mobile-friendly?

Mobile-first by design. Touch-swipe on phones, peek-next-card layout on tablets, full carousel on desktop. Tap dots to jump. Works on iPhone SE → iPad Pro → 4K monitor. No layout glitches, no horizontal scroll bugs. Tested on all major browsers + iOS/Android native.

What about page load performance with embedded players?

Player mode loads YouTube/Vimeo iframe scripts only when a visitor swipes to that item (lazy-loaded), not on page load. Thumbnail mode uses just your uploaded image — almost zero performance cost. Mix both for best balance: Player for one hero video at item #1, Thumbnails for the rest.

GDPR — do embedded players set cookies?

YouTube, Vimeo, and TikTok embeds set their own cookies for tracking. For Player mode, you're responsible for cookie consent in EU/UK (the embed's cookies fall under third-party). Thumbnail mode avoids this entirely — it's just an image link, no third-party scripts. EU creators selling to EU buyers typically default to Thumbnail mode and pair it with their existing cookie banner.

Can I have multiple Media Sliders on one storefront?
